This is a classic boot although it featues not a single track by the Rolling Stones (who are on the cover) and only two tracks were actually recorded at the Rolling Stones Rock And Roll Circus in 1968! An event which comprised two concerts in a circus and was intended to be a BBC TV show but (until 1996) held back by the Stones who were dissatisfied with their performance. It was Brian Jones' last public performance with the band. The first track on the LP was performed by the Dirty Mac, a supergroup featuring John Lennon (g, voc), Yoko Ono (voice), Eric Clapton (g), Mitch Mitchell (dr) and Keith Richards (b). The rest of the tracks are not even by artists that were in the show... Cool recordings anyway, distorted sound on some. Wrap-around insert. |
