The Velvet Underground & Nico - Unripened

Label XTV
Number XTV-122
Year 2007
Comments The first incarnation of their first album from April 25, 1966, as rejected by Columbia records.
From Acetate. This is pretty likely NOT from the acetate which was sold on eBay in June 2006 for $ 25.200.00 !
It's not true that it's the only one in existence, as the seller claimed - Moe Tucker's version was discovered a few years ago and released on the first disc of the 3-CD bootleg set Ultimate Mono And Acetates Album. I guess the LP was dubbed from this (more scratchy, but de-noised) version, as there are a bunch of skips during Heroin.
Very nice to finally have it on vinyl, though!
